Couldn't you fit a magnet behind the black cover? Since it seems that the crank is metal...that "might" work

not really, since i can’t actually get inside the thing. it’s about 65 years old now, and instead of using screws, has small tabs of metal folded over tightly. i don’t want to risk ruining the car trying to open it!Couldn't you fit a magnet behind the black cover? in my opinion nothing beats the trilogy, but they’re certainly worth a watch!!

Those are absolutely fantastic! I was born a decade and a half too late to see the original airings of Camberwick Green/Trumpton, but I remember watching the repeats in the early 80's.

i sometimes feel like i clog up this forum with a bunch of random non-prop related nonsense so here’s something that is prop related!!
i don’t remember if i’ve mentioned it before, but i think i’ve figured out some of the bits and pieces used for mickey murphy’s van. the chassis appears to be the exact same as farmer bell’s truck, and i think the grill could have come off of something but i’m not sure. is anyone able to make a guess at what that teeny tiny writing on it says?
(i also got lucky at an antique fair today and found a complete set of the “camberwick green tv lotto” game, which i’ve taken some of the pictures from!)

yes, i’ve seen a few listings before, but i’ve always passed them by. it’s a bit too big for how much space i’ve got!
