C-3PO's Open Back-Plate

I am hoping to get some nice screen-grabs/images, or more information about C-3PO's open back plate from ESB. I am hoping to recreate this look on my own 3PO suit, but I need some more reference. Thanks to partsofsw.com and a very kind friend of mine, I was able to obtain the two cylinder head caps from the Revell Visible V-8 Engine model kit, But I am having trouble determining how they are oriented on the part, It would also be nice to get some more insight on the other parts that are used.

I figured this is the best place to ask!
