Really great work Steve! Maybe the most authentic looking phaser build I've seen, not "dirtied up" just a natural hand made look. Your attention to details like the bare wire makes all the difference. And that red jewel looks lit up in most shots, like an LED. No wonder so many folks thought the props had lights in 'em!
