Building the 8' Star Destroyer (superstructures done)

Re: Building the 8' Star Destroyer

Not only is your craftsmanship amazing, but your eye for identifying parts within all that detail is unbelievable.

A rare talent, my friend and an awesome build. Can't wait to see more.

Re: Building the 8' Star Destroyer

Thanks Rob !
That's not the area I was looking but it will be the next I detail, so it will be very helpful as it is the best one Ive seen so far of the very front superstructure ! Very cool pic !! Can see a lot of detail Ive never spotted before. :)

Cool! Glad to help, and glad I can offer new info!

Do you like my dust and dirt induced star field! ;)

Re: Building the 8' Star Destroyer

Thanks Hector !

What ?? Those stars are dust ?!! Stardust ? Your DS was in the place ? :lol

Well Ive been working on the front superstructures for 3 days now. I cant tell you how hard it is to find parts washed out by flash or hidden in shadow ! That's what Ive been able to ditenfy so far (Ive found more but I cant glue them until I received one kit which will determinate the space between 2 "shelves").

Several parts are not glued and not fitted, they're just in place for the pics.

Re: Building the 8' Star Destroyer

Julien, you may have mentioned this earlier, but are you going for 100% accuracy with the found parts?

Im trying, right now, all the parts I glued on the superstructures are 100% correct. Im not sure I'll found all the parts so if I can end up with 98% of the correct parts, I would be happy !

Thanks Eric ! Regarding your projects (ISD, Crawler), you're not ball at all to find the correct parts either ! :)

Still looking for reference pics of the front side of the superstructures, any help would be great ! Thanks ;)

As you can see the top of the forward superstructures is now white, I skinned the plexi parts with 3 mm styrene sheets as I was missing 3 mm !

Re: Building the 8' Star Destroyer
