howdy,
My favorite holiday has come and gone. And I thought I'd share with you my build of the Martian Solider chest/helmet piece for my Halloween costume.
I recently saw another RPF thread of a member who made an awesome helmet out of cardboard tubes. Although I wasn't able to use the tube, I did find the perfect garbage can to use in it's place. (by going to target and me and my gf trying on diff garbage cans by putting it over our heads haha)
all i can say is thanks to the inventor of the dremel, I love that thing to death. I cut away mostly 60 percent of the garbage can and relied heavily on wooden knobs and plates I found at a local Micheal's craft store. I then had a local airbrusher I've used in the past touch it up in places to give it that sturdy beat up metal look. I'm really happy the way this came out. I ended up using inflatable fire extinguishers for the tanks on the back.
shout out also to the RPF for helping me locate prob the best martian mask I've seen
