This is my first try, I am using this build to get an idea of who to build the full version, this one is for my kids to play with.
Hope you like it.

do you have a step to step guide?

Nope just building as I go, I am using a toy Tardis as a guide. I know the overall size is too small but it is just for my kids. It is only about 7-8 feet high and the real one is around 10 feet.
I am a member of the tardis prop building website but havent found anything good there plans.

Later this week I am planning on putting the subwoofer in the base.

Do you have the builders manual from Tardisbuilders? That is pretty comprehensive and which plans are you looking for?

very cool. I'd love to make one of these for my dad. He's a fan of the Tom baker years so I'd try and get it to look like that (not sure if its changed any) but around here we'd probably need a permit as the idiot inspectors would call it a shed.

I just got my Fez today. Make sure the Tardis doesnt explode.

also, I'm mad jealous. It looks epic.

Family man, that's an interesting build. All of the tutorials I've seen have had the doors built up as 'h' shaped frames, with the three panel spaces empty, and a panel nailed to the back. I suppose this is to keep the weight down.

You've just gone ahead and built the panel shape up over the solid wood using strips of wood. I'm building a set of doors for my study, you've sort of confirmed for me that the 'easy way' is viable too if weight isn't an issue.

Thanks, yeah I have to do things the easy way. The only tools I am working with here to build this and my Dalek are the following..

Dewalt drill
Hand screwdrivers
jigsaw
hand saw
tape measure

thats it..
oh and my sonic screwdriver....

Heres is a small update, I started on the windows and found a nice looking handle for the door.
