Building a full size replica of the Pizza Planet truck

Re: Building a full size replica of the Pizza Plan

Update: We are getting our hands on a vacuum former in the next few weeks here, and we can finally begin work on making the multiple rockets that we need. In the meantime, this is what we have right now. We call it the "kali ma" stone.

Update: We have had some engine trouble, as stated above, but the truck has been looked at by the mechanic on the team and we should be in good shape in no time. Luckily it's nothing to serious and quite the easy fix.

Update: We are still waiting on the rocket, which we should be getting a phone call about any day now. In other news, we have added some new people to the team, and we are also taking the truck in this weekend to get looked at since something is leaking in the engine.

You can check out some photos from a recent trip to Disneyland and a crew BBQ we had a few days ago on our Wordpress site.

The Road to Pixar

Hey guys -

We have another fairly large update from last night. The truck has been back from the body shop where it had it's tune up done, and we recieved these bad boys in the mail:

We also had a nice fella in Colorado send us an email a few weeks ago letting us know that he was working on his own Pizza Planet Truck. He had made the stickers that are on the rear of the truck in Toy Story (1), and sent them to us free of charge. Oddly enough, we got the stickers and the plates on the same day. This video is of us applying the stickers and adding the license plate on the rear of the truck.

And this is was a timelapse we did the same night with a GoPro Hero camera.

We're pretty excited right now, it has been a slow month for us. Expect more updates soon! Be sure to check out the Wordpress page for the full photo update!

Just another quick photo update - here's the latest on the rocket.

As you can tell, it is coming along. If you look closely, you will notice a stack of fins waiting to be cut. We plan on making a few. We will keep you posted!

Another update for you folks - it's been a while since we've posted!

We had a few issues with the rocket again, so while we are continuing to work on a new one, we made a temporary "Holiday themed" rocket made from an oversized Christmas bulb and some other makeshift supplies.

The reason for this temporary rocket, which we have named "Mk IV - Roger Klotz" due to it's scary resemblance to the "Doug" character, was because we were featured in this years 33rd annual Christmas Parade in Seal Beach, CA!

We decked halls of the truck with some tacky decorations and made our way down Main Street. It was great to see the people's reactions to our project, being that this was the truck's first big appearance. Below are some photos from the night, we will have an updated video as well soon. For now, check out our blog! Please like our Facebook! We're trying to get all of the support we can!
