Very cool how did you make this was this a scratch build or did you use a car that was already made?

Re: BTTF working delorean hover car , finished at last

Cool :cool !! (y)thumbsup:thumbsup

.... now spill the beans :lol

Re: BTTF working delorean hover car , finished at last

Yep, cool indeed, i'm thinking some kind of magnet system, but how'd you keep it stable, mmm, very intruiging!

its one of the levitation bases , you might have seen them with a globe ? basicly just a huge magent

and its a modified aoshima model, was originaly a 4x4 off roader type battery car

Re: BTTF working delorean hover car , finished at last

Yep, I've seen them. Globes and all kinds of stuff.

Well done !

Did you have any problems 'balancing' it, or with the weight ?

Re: BTTF working delorean hover car , finished at last

the base takes a item of up to 85 grams , so finding a car that was under that and takes the magent was the worst of the job

its pretty hard to get it hovering but once its there its not too bad at all

Re: BTTF working delorean hover car , finished at last

lol, i was under the impression from the photo that there is a quad fan blowing under the wheel... but this is even better, a permanent hovering delorean!

Re: BTTF working delorean hover car , finished at last

no theres not any fans , its dead silent

in the video the magent wasnt fitted perfectly straight so the car wanted to spin , it will sit dead still when you get it right

That is fantastic!could I possibly get info on exactly what base was used and were to find them please.I could think of allot of things to do with one.nice work !

Great Job Steve. In the past many had suggested using those levitation bases for hovering lightweight BTTF DeLorean models, it's good to see that someone finally pulled it off.
