BTTF Pepsi Bottle : Reboot

Next up...

The Slice bottle.

I'm not entirely pleased with how the Pepsi Perfect Logo turned out. The curvature of the bottle at the midsection plays havoc on the vinyl label. I may have to do that one out of cut vinyl instead of a printed decal. Or I'll need to put a seam cut on the lower half of the PP Logo.

The Diet Pepsi is done with Waterslide Decals. They look damn near perfect and will look better once I seal them up with some clear coat.

The Mountain Dew logo is a tweak of their existing icon logo. I'm hoping that by 2015 we're out of that whole "tribal extreme" fad. The "mountain dew" titling is actually a terminator font :) I may want to tweak the lower decal into an arc so when its applied to the bottle it reads as a straight horizontal element.

Any thoughts on how much you will charge for one all said and done :love

LOVE the Mountain Dew...better than I could possibly imagined!!!!

I think the PP sticker needs to be smaller and "rounder".

Smaller and rounder would probably help a bit. The shorter the better, cause the bottom is what's causing me the fits.

That's what I get for using the file you sent over all those years ago :)

They look great Gary!!! Like I said before, these are going to be the pinnacle of the BTTF bottles!!

:)

I just ran another test and I think this time I went too small. It appears to me that the logo would need to be a little wider - partly to compensate for the curvature of the bottle. The same could apply to the Diet Pepsi as well.

And the Slice is now done :)

There is a SLIGHT color difference between the white stripes and the decal. I should have put down a second coat of white with the Alps printer, but I didn't know it until I got the decal actually on. I'll fix that on a later bottle/decal.

Honestly, I could care less about the Slice bottle. It was never a favorite of mine anyway. :)

Eh, took about 30 minutes to draw up the graphic file and print the decal.

The bottle had been prepped for paint last night.

Awesome, just awesome....

Whats next? An empty Pepsi Perfect... :)

That's a later project at this point. I'll need to recoup some of the project costs so far before I can get the aluiminum masters done for the Vac Tooling.

I'll be putting this test set up on ebay later today probably.
