BTTF Hoverboard

Hoping to get some insight from the BTTF experts here. I've wanted a hoverboard replica for years, and I periodically decide to start looking again to see if any new versions turn up. I found this on etsy and I am seeking feedback on quality, screen accuracy, and anything else that might help inform. Thanks!

I don't pretend to be any expert, especially compared to some of the genuine geniuses ive met here, but just from a cursory glace it looks pretty bad.

The footpad, strap, and battery all have massive "hover matters" logos stamped on them. Its missing the hole that the handle was pulled out of.
Its a completely flat decal, and not the shiny lenticular decal. The footpad strap isn't the furry cloth material and instead seems to be a rubber strap. There is no green or pink velcro anywhere. The battery is flat and not at all the right shape or color. The board is too thin and has no side decals. The side seems to have a weird sharp angle on the bottom and then subtle curve on the top instead of a symmetrical shape.

And to top it all off, its only made to 3/4 scale.

I am by no means an expert but It’s much better in almost every department (for a stunt board replica that is given the lack of lenticular graphics as pointed out, although the stunt board is more widely used in BTTF 2/3 than the hero).
However something about the general shape of it is still throwing me off a bit (might be the angle/size of the tail).

Golden Armor is well know re-caster. I personally wouldn’t buy from him.

Search around the forum, there’s plenty of discussion about his operation.

For a accurate board, you’ll probably have to DIY. There’s not many makers on the market right now selling parts or even a completed version.

Thanks. It's not something I actively look into often. When I have looked into it, I keep finding the same result: no builders making good replicas. Appreciate the feedback from everyone.

I agree with the comments above.
I bought my first hoverboard replica from this guy on Etsy and he did a nice job. Not as accurate as most of the bttf fanatics on theRPF would desire, but it’s still really nice. It uses a Lenticular (although slightly different than the screen used one) over a painted mdf board. The holographic magnets are not screen accurate but I liked them anyway. I included his Etsy name below and some photos of the board; however it looks like he’s no longer on Etsy. All I remember about him was that he was located in England, and he indicated that a famous Hollywood producer had taken one of his boards to some film opening.

Working on a couple more colorways. The deck is a mock up, not my final piece.

Looks great! Would you be willing to sell one of those battery boxes? And the piece that connects to it on each side? St the very least, looking for a battery box to convert by HC board.

Thanks!
