BTTF 2015 Marty jacket: researching sizes of plastic parts, help please!

Hi all, I'm planning out my Marty 2015 jacket. I'm planning on using the overhead light panel technique for the red portions and sewing a jacket (based on a varsity jacket that I'm deconstructing) that I can use. Its not going to be a latex sleeve one, it will likely be fake leather / suede. More for convention wearing than 100% replica for display.

I found a local company that can laser cut the black plastic parts for me. If I can fit some extras on the plastic sheet, I'm happy to sell off the extras parts to offset the cost. This isn't a run or anything, I'm primarily interested in making a single jacket for myself and maybe a smaller one for my daughter. According to the laser cutting company, depending on how I lay out the artwork (I'll be doing the the vector art) I could be really efficient with the plastic used.

That said, I wondered if I could get some help confirming my best "guesstimates" for the sizes of the plastic parts. Could the BTTF jacket experts please help me out?

This is what I am thinking:

2 Pocket slots: I'm guessing from the photos of the real jacket and measuring off my medium sized varsity jacket that the pocket slots could be:
- 5 1/2" long x 3/8" tall (there's only the top bar and sides, no bottom)
- cut from 1/8" thick black acrylic or ABS
- accommodates a 5 1/8" wide pocket and flap

4 red and black sleeve buttons (2 per arm)
- 1 1/2" square cut from 1/8" thick black acrylic or ABS, with the round hole opening
- cut from 1/8" thick black acrylic or ABS *the idea being that I could layer a piece of plastic underneath with the red insert. Bondo the sides and paint them black to hide the seam.

6 sleeve strap brackets (3 per arm)
- 1 1/2" long x 3/8" tall, with a 1/8" slot inside for the fabric sleeve strap
- bracket would be 1/4" wide on the surface of the sleeve

2 waist band switch panels
- both panels are 2 1/2" tall and 7/8" wide, cut from 1/8" thick black acrylic or ABS *the idea being that I could layer a piece of plastic underneath with the red / yellow insert and leave room for switches. Also bondo up the sides and paint them black.
- right side (wearers) has 3 holes cut for the buttons, the yellow hole is smaller
- left side (wearers) has the one long slot

What do you think? Are these the correct dimensions or am I way off? I only found a couple measurements on the forums so any confirmation from those that have treaded these waters before me would be a great help!

Thanks!
