Does anyone have a clue where these came from? Were they custom made for the show? I swear I have seen that nozzle somewhere else. Might it be a found item?

Thanks WackyChimp!

I been working on those, I've seen some 1/48 scale 500 lb bombs that have come close but nothing exact. Could be part of a pen cap for all we know though.

the grey part looks alot like a part that is inside a "clicky" type ink pen.

disassembling several pens i have at my desk to see if i have the correct model for the exact type shown

not sure what the white part is

Could it be a very small gas cartridge for an air-cleaner (to blow dust off of electronic parts), or perhaps a butane tank for a grill lighter or something?

Or a resin cast of a CO2 airsoft cartridge that's been cut down to shorten it?

This is from an old BB gun, found on the net.

Assuming the CO2 cartridges are the correct size you may be on to something. While casting would cut down on the weight, they could have merely cut down the metal ones and the red line is hiding the cut. But that would be a little large for the clicky part of a pen, which I had considered as well.

Maybe. It's been a while since I have looked at a CO2 cartridge.

I have seen lego connector blocks that look like the end nozzle, but I have no idea what the scale of that is. Never watched the show. Any chance of a screencap where someone is holding it or something next to it to show a sense of how big those things are?

Chris

Dunno about screen caps, but here's a pic of the entire box...

I think I found the box...a French Morphine Box

The description lists the dimensions as 9.5"L x 5"W x 3.5"T

I'd say that makes the rockets about 3" long?

is it just me or does it seem silly to have a box that deep with only one tray in it for holding them? IS there supposed to be more under it..like stackable ttrays?

I'm pretty sure the cylinders are from a butane lighter that was designed to look like a scuba tank. I've got a couple of them... darn things' refill ports wouldn't hold a good charge after one or two refills, but I always thought they'd make cool greeblies for a prop, so I've kept them around.

If the box was originally a container for morphine ampules the deep box might have been to contain other medical paraphenicia..

Correct, they should be about 3", any longer and they will protrude from the launcher.

A CO2 cylinder is about 23/32 in diameter, but I'm choosing to make mine 12 gauge 11/16, so I can cross platform it with other props.

I had the wacky idea of making the tail fin section slightly oversize, out of flexible urethane so it will 'wedge' in the launcher tube.
