Back on the subject of the TA-1/PT and the TA-954's. Found a phone kit http://www.electronickits.com/kit/complete/tele/ck600.htm Anyone else think this may be a way to go for getting one of the phones working on a regular civilian line vs gutting a cheapie walmart phone?

Spent the day making a handset cradle for the resin TA-1 and gave it a repaint. I carved it from foam, covered it fiberglass resin and the many many many coats of bondo. Getting close .

quick update.

Getting closer , made up the center piece but it wasn't quite perfect.

So i scrapped it and made one from wood

It will work much better. Should have this in silicone tomorrow:love

Made a few casts today of the Cylon mine

Im sure this has been said before, but that Cylon mine is the center out of a Nerf Maverick toy gun, and one end appears to simply be an aerosol can lid, only leaving the lower half which isnt immediately recognisable.
The two identified parts will cost 8-10 dollars from the toy shop.

Its probably that lower lid piece that will cost a load thou!!!eek

Cool those Tigh flasks are 5 for $90.00/ $18 a piece. I would be in for 1 or 2 anyone else want to get some? What say we all?

I got my no-name brand for around $13 or so on ebay if I remember correctly (Thanks to a tip from TCF's Banshee) :
