BSG Blaster showoff

One of the last Matsuo BSG blasters before he was asked to stop due to licensing for the
BSG weapons.

Tried a Krylon ultraflat black, polished with steel wool and rubbed with graphite technique. Then a small amount of silver RnB weathering (moreso to bring out some highlights) The Python inside (ooh, sounds kinky) is a semigloss black to give it some contrast. The grips came as you see them. Matt has a wood grain resin technique that looks pretty good. I tried a bit of steel wool polishing, though I may find some sort of polish to shine them up a bit more (suggestions?)

Wow . That is one nice blaster . Very nice job.

I have to still have to put mine together.

In fact, I have an extra kit if you want a third blaster or if anyone missed out on Matsuo's run.

Wow, EXCELLENT blaster, Taliesin. Great weathering.

I've been trying to get ahold of one of those for a while now. I guess I missed out on the one in the JY earlier this week....

If anyone has a spare they are willing to part with...

Thanks guys - the kit was a very clean cast and so easy to put together and it's got a moving trigger and is held together with screws so I could disassemble it if I felt the urge.

Switchblade_slinger - you might want to check with Got Maul (see his reply)

:thumbsup I am consistently impressed with the talent of this board's membership. Matsuo's blasters are spectacular, and I'm very pleased to [finally] have acquired both a season 1 and a season 2. Add to a great blaster a fantastic paintjob like yours and you've got a seriously enviable blaster. Congrats, and great job.

I was going to ask the same thing...who did the stand because I am definitely going to need one of those .. At the risk of sounding foolish, what season is that other gun from ?

The "plainer" gun is the miniseries/season 1 prop. In may respects, it is my favorite, though the Matsucorp paint job on the "wood" grips of the later guns really is amazing.

Definitely one of the cooler blasters out there. It ranks up there with the Blade Runner blaster and Samaritan as one of my all time favorite pistol props. It just reeks of 'danger danger danger.'
