Bringing a voice to lifesize props

So I've nearly finished my revised TDK Joker now and have thought about adding a voice to the display but wanted to know what you guys did for any lifesize props you have?

Is it possible to buy voice boxes or is it just as easy to pick up an mp3 player and use a controller or phone to use pre recorded voices with a speaker mounted on the display??

I am using Arduinos for all my props (Flux Capacitor, HAL 9000, Mouse Droid).
And in all cases I am using the little DFPLayer Mini to play .mp3 sound files from a micro SD card.
I have written a detailed blog article how to use this module with the Arduino:
Playing sounds from the Arduino with DFPlayer
If you want, you can add a bluetooth module to the Arduino.
Then you can write an Android app using MIT appmaker, and use you phone/tablet as a remote control to play the sounds.
