Book of Boba Fett EE3 Build

Currently working on a 3D printed build of Boba’s EE-3 from Book of Boba Fett. In my humble opinion it’s the coolest version of the EE-3 we’ve seen. Here is the first rough assembly of the parts. Main body pieces are FDM 3D printed on CR-10 smart and detail/greeblie pieces are resin printed on Elegoo Saturn. Files by Marko Makaj of mystery makers. These pieces have mostly been primed and wet sanded, but are not fully finished as of yet. Will share paint progress as it goes! Please feel free to chime in!

Little build update! Marko made some accuracy updates to the 3D models, which I’m a big fan of! Shape of the stock has been refined, details have been added to the stock greeblie, and the brass grip has been rounded, was originally flat. All subtle but good detail changes. Should be starting paint this weekend! Below are updated raw prints and primed body!

Most interesting detail I noticed is there are actually no screws on the scope rings, I may still do them just as an idealized addition.

Build update! We’re painting now! Metallic paint on the barrel and stock greeblie is a 2K gloss base, and alumaluster. Brass grip is 2K gloss base, alumaluster and then combo of copic ink re-fills sprayed through airbrush. Faux wood stock is a PlaidFX base, painted on with chip brush, then combo of copic inks painted with chip brush. Happy to share more about the process if anyone is interested!

I’m calling it done! Final weathering was done with a combo of archive x acrylic, Windsor and Newton oils, and rub n buff. Pretty happy with the final product!
