Bondo-Glass Question

Does anyone happen to know if bondo-glass alone can be used for pepakura builds rather than a separate application of fiberglass resin and then the bondo, or is fiberglass resin still necessary?

Or you can by-pass the fiberglass and do Rondo (resin+bondo) very hard, strong bond and quick drying time.

Rather than starting off with a fiberglass coat first? As in doing straight up Rondo?

The glass stage is to give it enough strength to withstand the application of bondo or rondo. Glued cardboard is a pretty flimsy base.
