Boba Fett Scratch build WIP

So this is kind of side project in between other projects while I wait for some money to come in. I have alot of the stuff at home I need to start this build. I've been wanting to do this ever since dressing up as Boba as a kid. Now to get to work on an big kid version heh. Started with the helmet

then hardened it

then started laying in some bondo getting a good base layer going


I chopped the ears off after getting the shape I wanted and filled it in with some more bondo

I think I'm horrible at taking pictures cause the helmet actually closely resembles Boba's helmet in shape, but for some reason it looks more narrow in pics.

Some progress not much though. I'm focusing on making a completely smooth dome then adding ridge details later.

Put a little primer down. Still working on the shape. I feel like the right top side of the dome is higher than the left.

Cutting out piece for the jetpack right now ... I got thick styrene which I'm kind of hating right now but I wanted it to be sturdy without having to fiberglass it.

I almost didn't want to build this part of the missile again but im glad I did. the one on the right is the first one where i couldn't get it cylinder at all and the one on the left is the one I just built where everything looks much better and i won't have to do much filler work on it.

I keep jumping around so I don't get bored. I did build a new helmet though which looks alot better than the old one. Right now I'm waiting on my jumpsuit, but bought all the fabric I needed for all the other soft parts. Pretty exciting. Decided to work on my belt though just to change things up a little. I'm using this tutorial by StrumFett http://www.thedentedhelmet.com/f20/w...tionnal-44124/. Basically just traced out all my pieces. I wasn't sure at first which Boba I wanted to do, I was going to just take parts of each Boba that I liked. I've decided on a special edition Boba hence why all the pouches heh.

first part of first pouch complete. Pretty easy to follow the directions wasn't as bad as i thought it'd be.

finished up my braids. I think I'll straighten the ends out some but I kind of like them a little bushy I dunno we'll see
