BOBA FETT Costume... accurate??? where to find one??? Price range???

To throw out the other side, it is possible to get a great helmet or other parts of the armor for the budget inclined. I'm still working on my gauntlets, and jetpack. But here's my helmet that I built probably about 50 bucks in materials.

Anywho hope this helps.

I had a Fett helmet that I had painted up for my display collection about the same time as episode III came out. When a crowd of friends decided we should go in costume to the premier, I managed to rush and put together a half decent Fett costume in about four or five days. The Dented Helmet was extremely useful for this project.

Here's the finished product minus the jetpack which would've caused me problems sitting in the theater (the wisp of smoke is a photoshop effect):

Here's the whole crowd:

Jumpsuit (made from two pairs of Dickies grey coveralls heavily modded)-$80
Vest and neckseal (from scratch, and I didn't find the proper fabric) - $30
Armor (hand formed sintra PVC) - $25
Gauntlets (bought painted from a TDH member)- $120
JetPack (bought primed from MLC)- $350
Boots (from www.caboots.com)- $140 (I had no spikes)
Girthbelt (from a nearby horse tack shop) - $25
Leather ammo belt (from scratch)- $15
Helmet (lucky ebay find raw cast) - $50
Tools (skipped them for lack of time)- $0
Wookie brades (hair extensions from local beauty supply store) - $12
Decals (hand painted)- $0
Weapon (rushed to build it out of scraps and spares on hand - $5
Gloves (completely inaccurate mechanics gloves from WalMart)- $10
TOTAL = $782

If I had more time I would've been able to wait for more accurate parts. I now have better gloves and I'm still shopping for a better vest. I also have a much better ROTJ style blaster to replace the wood and pipe blaster in the picture. I don't know how much I've spent by now, but keeping track of money doesn't mix well with this hobby.

On the other hand, if I was trying to save money instead, I could've decided early on not to bother with the jetpack (which I didn't wear anyway) I could've saved money on the boots by modifying something cheaper and making it work. This would've made it possible to bring in the whole project for less than $300, but it also would've meant making a few more parts on my own and sacrificing in the appearance department.
