Bob Iger to step down as Disney CEO

While it might be an unrealistic hope, maybe Disney will return to some of its former values and stop pumping out remakes and reboots at high speeds in order to make money. Iger was responsible for the massive changes Disney has seen as a company in the past decade or so, and even though this is probably a planned retirement, I say good riddance.

He's being replaced with Bob Chapek.

Outstanding! I need to collect my winnings. I bet on Chapek, over two years ago, to take over as CEO.

It was foretold to me by staring deeply at a Taco Bell wrapper with “FIRE!” sauce smeared on it, spelling out “Chapek”.

All is as The Force—and Taco Bell—wills it.

Like I said, given how profitable Iger was, it’s likely Chapek is just a crony of his who was waiting in the wings to be Iger 2.0
