Blank newspaper

Hey guys and gals,

Not sure that this is the right place for this. I need to find blank sheets of newspaper to create a prop. How would I go about doing that? More specifically, where could I find newspaper sheets and would it be possible to print on them using a conventional printer? Any help would be MUCH appreciated.

Go to any art store. They sell tablets of it. Size might be a concern as , I believe, 11" x 14" is the largest I've seen. They might sell it in larger sizes.

Is there a solution that I could soak a real newspaper in to remove the ink?

Dude, contact your local newspaper. I used to have a BUNCH of this stuff. It looked like a newspaper, all folded into sections, like a newspaper is... but all of the pages were blank. If you just need newsPRINT then yes, just go to your local hoby arts and crafts store and they sell it tablets. :)

Yea the only problem is that my local newspaper is the LA times, and they're not a printing press... any other suggestions?

If you want a fullsize newspaper like the LA Times, that's called "broadsheet". Sizes vary.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Broadsheet

A broadsheet page folded in half is called "tabloid"(the word has become gutterized to refer usually to trashy grocery store celebrity rags, but the sheet size was the original usage). So if you can find some broadsheet sized newsprint at the art store, fold it in half and you can make tabloid "spreads" to nest together to make a whole newspaper. :)

Hey,
Try "American Foothill Publishing" in Tujunga. They are a "newspaper publisher" for smaller area papers in LA. Hope they can help you. Best of luck.
