while i seem to of tracked down the radio that is used as a base, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AN/PRC-6
I have a question that if anyone has found any better photos of the exibit. i have dug around and the only one i can find is the one above, that is on a bunch of sites.

… [I think I was being overly skeptical]

I'd look around for all models of AN/PRC as well as USN models (e.g. sound-powered telephone handset with an antenna retrofitted on by the propmaster?).

N.B. I'm outside in the sun, so can't see your image in great clarify on this iPad.I

I am working on the prop, and have a clearer reference photo over at my Blade Runner build thread here if it helps - https://www.therpf.com/showthread.php?t=279741

Those are the pictures, I found. Half of them are from Adam Savage's Twitter page. The other half is pieced together from several online articles about the 'Blade Runner Experience' from this years San Diego Comic Con. I found the latter more or less the only way, to yield useful google-matches. But due to the way the prop was displayed the pictures are unfortunately (quite literally) one-sided. Adam Savage stated in recent Tested videos that he plans on building this prop and already ordered a PRC-6 on eBay. He also said, he took lots of pictures, when he visited the BR Experience. So maybe he can supply even more pictures in the future.

Those are perfect, thanks everyone. Very helpful, guess I need to get a bit better at Google searching. I just wish they had a mirror behind it so we could see the other side.

Just ordered one from eBay. There's a few available in Germany and reasonably priced (at least for now). Looks to be a great subject for a prop build.

So, I'm having a go at making my own replica of the radio so thought I'd share a pic of current progress. I guess it'll have to come to a stop soon until (hopefully) pics of the other sides emerge.
