Interest Blade Runner Passport???

We've had a few requests over the years to make a Blade Runner themed passport. IDs in the future are obviously different than our standard paper passport booklets but, regardless, is this something that would interest any of you?

I thought we could open up the design process a bit to get ideas from fellow fans to see what direction this piece could take. So... feel free to express your interest in the project, ideas and comments here.

It'd be both, I presume. Not sure what the official term would be but something like "International Interplanetary Passport" (which gets overly wordy). Different countries have different planetary colonies, so it would make sense to have both nations and planets mentioned. I suppose having it simply be an "Interplanetary Passport" still would allow it to be used on Earth from country-to-country as well.

You could put “OffWorld Passport” and there could be a seperate page that is his papers to get Off World.

I think it would be likely that there would still be country specific passports with passes/visa for particular off-world colonies. These visas would have to be applied for and either accepted or denied.
The police force is still city specific and gives no indication of it being part of a unified 'Earth' division. Because of this I don't see why passports, arguably something that is required to be much more specific and detailed, would be streamlined. I think we'd still be seeing separate passports for the US, Canada, the UK and so on.

Another thing I think might be worth mentioning is that after the blackout would they really trust and rely on completely digital systems? And due to the very reluctant legalization of replicants they'd likely have their own unique passports and identifications stating that they're reps.

Also, maybe consider adding a holographic overlay of K's (or deckard's if you're inclined to believe he's a replicant) nexus number, which would use the font for the number flashing in Sapper morton's right eye during his interrogation? Maybe deckard's number could be visible only under a blacklight rather than being a hologram. If someone is a photoshop expert, then you could instead consider adding a holographic photo of K with a beanie like the profile photos of the other replicants in BR2019.
However, logically the holograms wouldn't make sense for Deckard, as he isn't aware that he's a replicant (if he is actually a replicant).

I’m also thinking the inside look of your 30’s US Passport overall with some futuristic updates (Chinese writing, some holographic stuff) would be interesting

It seems highly unlikely that passport booklets will be around in the future, but I still like them. They feel right and look the part. I agree on the Chinese and English hybrid for language. Entry and exit stamps for the moon...? Very cool. When I traveled for business, I had so many entry/exit stamps that I had to send the passport in twice to add pages. Decker's passport could have that as well, but it would add substantially to the effort.

Great ideas guys, keep them coming. Some of us are on holiday at the moment, but when the team is all back (after the 8th), we'll discuss all these ideas, details, etc and start working on some mock-ups to show. Getting exciting!
