Blade Runner Foil Unicorn

Someone did a run here iirc of the Chicken, Unicorn, and Man, all done by the Artist who did them for the film.

Would anyone know if he would consider another run??

I can't see BUYING one of these. I mean, if I didn't suck I could do it myself. I WILL get this if it kills me.

I made a few of the foil unicorns about a year ago. Here is a picture of the last one I have remaining compared to a screen capture from the film...

I remember the chicken being offered about the same time. The maker's identity was as questionable as the rpf member who presented them, IMHO. If there was another set being offered, I must have missed it. From what I understand, each piece used in BR was crafted by different artists.

Agreed. Anyone that has the patience and dexerity to fold one is better off to follow the tutorial. They take some time to make at that scale. :)

Tommin makes the best...and only unicorns :lol , that I've seen...

I have one of those Chickens and I believe it to be authentic...not only did I get in on the very small run...but the chicken was absolutely free...

Such is, I understand, the customs of origami.

OK, I'm on my third try. I think I'm gonna make an origami gun and blow my head off...

Seriously though, I get a few more steps figured out each time I try it. So in like a year I should have one just as easy as could be.

God my head hurts.

Ooo... I'm pretty good with origami. I'll have to dig up some foil sheets (gosh, I hope I never tossed them, but I think I did... Michael's, here I come.) and try my hand at one of these.

Thanks for the link to the tutorial.

I tried this for days about 6 months ago. No dice, I was sucking wind and the scale was twice as big. Theres no way I could make one that small. Good luck to any who try, and "PM me" to anyone who succeeds. :lol

I used to do origami in high school and once made a crane out of a gum wrapper that ended up being less than a half inch high. I haven't tried this and cranes are simple in comparison. I need to find my foil paper. I can't believe in all these years I haven't tried it considering my BR fanantacism. I guess it looked like something I could do at any time so I kept putting it off. I will let you all know how it comes out. Any links on how to make the chicken? I already have the ashtray from that scene as well.

I'm gonna have to break down & try this pretty soon.

I ran across that unicorn tutorial a few years ago, but didn't take much interest due to the shoddy illustrations.

I've been making origami sculptures since I first saw Blade Runner when I was 13 (a loong time ago). I can make a dozen or so designs off the top of my head, & I've got multiple books for other pieces.

Sometimes I like to try & come up with designs on my own. I made this one about a year ago.

BEHOLD THE YORK® PEPPERMINT PATTIE-RAPTOR...

I stumbled across this one on ebay I guess about a year ago?

Came with little display case and label.

He puts those up all the time. He also does display cases for the blasters, white dragon chopsticks and a plethora of other non cannon stuff.

Does anyone know what type of foil paper and more importantly the dimensions of the paper more accurate to the movie one?
