Blade Runner - Deckard's pistol replica. A curiosity.

Afternoon all :)

So, I've been contacted by someone who is working on refinishing a couple of white metal cast replica Deckard revolvers, which were sent to him by a member of the film industry (a gift given to him at some stage). Now, I don't know much about the history of BR replicas and so on, but I've never heard reference to white metal blasters before. We don't know anything else about them besides. :unsure

I am hoping for a little more assistance with these, both in terms of information and valuation as the details are sketchy. Anyone able to lend a hand?

Thanks in advance! :)

Not sure if it is possible, but is there any chance of seeing some pictures?

I am just curious.

Thanks!

Tom

Thanks for the replies everyone :)

Images sadly have to remain somewhat private for the time being. Karl, an email with attached photos is on the way.

Understood Fal, hopefully you will be able to go public at some point.

Take care,

Tom

Hey Fal, you really only have 2 posts here? Huh?

White metal? such as?

Are you saying these might be some alternative hero guns? Or possible commisions? We talking solid cast white metal?

I understand privacy, but if you're asking for help in IDing the guns posting photos and information is kind of important in getting that done.

At any rate, good luck to you! Hope it gets worked out.

Yup, only two posts! Go figure. You'd imagine I have more considering my prop collecting, wouldn't you? :lol

Nah, no secret project. After speaking to Karl it appears it may be a pair of Sidkit BR blasters. I have contacted them to see if I can secure a positive ID.

I was going to say it almost sounds like somebody may be trying to pass off some Sidkits as something more than they are. Karl will be able to tell you for sure what you have. If it turns out to actually be something more I hope you will be willing to share at least some of the info with us :D

Andy

Actually to me it looks like Sidkit! But hopefully Siderio will confirm for him they definitely are or aren't, his.

That was my first thought...Sidkit.
White metal was the tip off...he has a smallish pic on his website.
Sold out he says.

He has instructions on how to build all of his kits that you can link to through his site with lots of close up pics of all the parts. He still has the instructions for his resin kit on his site too.

Siderio is actually working on the WorldCon version of his gun at Propsummit with the help of the community. So far it is looking really promising.
