Hi all! An idea possibly doomed from the start but worth a try.
I desperately want a pedantically accurate replica of the blade runner blaster, but unfortunately I'm tight on funds and I'm in the UK so there are no gun parts what so ever.
I do however have a workshop with a lathe and milling attachments etc and a big scrap metal yard not far away.
What I'm looking for are some plans or enough guaranteed accurate measurements to base it off.
I have found a few plans and exploded views for the Tomenosuke version however these are often a bit blurry and unreadable, or in japanese. I do have a huge pile of photos from WorldCon though!
Also as I would like to make it with all moving parts, I need a few more reference shots of the bolt, magazine and other internals as 99% of photos are of a nice side view of the finished piece!
I'm assuming that all of the original gun parts were steel, but are the other parts (butt, bit that goes round the grip, etc) aluminium?
Any ideas, pics, plans or info anyone?!
