Next part of the hammer mold is ready for silicone.

The pour was a fail. There were 3 bubbles that would have made casting inconsistent. 2 of them were where the cutouts are on the top, and the third was along the underside.

Currently re-boxing and will pour this weekend.

I was going to go tomorrow.

I’ve been busy getting trained on using CNC hotwire machinery...

I plan on turning this profile into 8’ long columns as an example to sell to the film industry.

I also figured out the basics of text on Rhino, and did my favourite
shine-on....

I understand Faust1103's question. Last update about the blaster was more than a week ago, and was just the message that the pur was a fail (last "positive" update was almost two weeks ago). I think after a year and a few months, people start wondering when the blasters will actually be finished... I don't think you can blame them for asking for updates in this case, no?

I’ve openly stated that i’ve been away on a business trip

As for mold completion, the hammer is one of two remaining molds that need to be completed. Once everything is molded, i then move into casting. The hammer is an important mold to get perfect, because there is lettering.

Yesterday was a family day, today is a work day. I’ll be re-pouring the hammer mold this morning.

I just have to let the mineral spirits dry off for a bit, then i will add the acorn nuts and mix up some silicone.

You shouldn't (have) to apologize for asking about status for a delayed project.

I poured and pressure cast the hammer top, and am currently in the process of splitting the clay bottom un half to add the sprue. I’ll post a pic this evening once i’m done.

Casting today....

Here is a close up view. I haven’t cleaned anything up yet, just filed to fit. Everything still gets sanded and buffed after this.
