Limited Run Blade Runner 2049 - K's blaster....in Metal

I removed the clay from the mold to allow for part 3 of the barrel rear. What you see here is what the rail keys into and is important to the overall fit and function of the finished piece.

This will still require a wash and dry prior to pouring the next part.

As for the grilles, i managed to pour and pressure cast part 1 of 2 this morning.

This is the status of the grille mold presently. I’ll begin carefully removing the clay after work tomorrow.

Some more pics for us?

Just got home. I’ve worked all weekend for my day job, as i am building trade show displays for a company 5 mins away from home instead of film sets an hour and a half away. However it is trade show season for another two weeks and i’ve been averaging 12 hour days. so i have just managed to finish molding the grilles and poured part 3 of the barrel rear.

Today is my first day off, unfortunately it’s because i tore something in my right elbow while setting up a trade show yesterday. I’m able to continue one-armed, it just makes things a little harder.

Here is the offending display...

As well as this stuff...

Today is the first chance i’ve had to rest, so it’s been a nice slow pace down in my office working on this mold.

I removed the last portion of clay, cut off any unneccesary flashing and added a registry key on top.

Here it is, all washed up and drying in the sun. I’ll put silicone on it tomorrow...

Next up... The hammer.

Tons of hot glue sticks have been sacrificed for this blaster! So full of admiration for this maker and envious of the ones who got in on the run! Congrats to all.

Dear Sir (brandonmack),
