All these new items were listed as “As seen at D23” so I suspect that unless they were Limited Edition, these items will be found on shelves at the parks and maybe restocking to the online store if sold out.
especially since its shown as "preorder, delivered at early september" in europe

I wasn't able to mess with it at work, and by the time I got home it was sold out. Congrats to everyone who got one. Reviews already popping up on Youtube. It looks good. Much more screen accurate than the original. Speaker slits still in the forehead, but the overall size and shape are there.

Pure speculation but I think the helmet will be a regular item. Either in the parks, website, or both. So I wouldn’t give up hope.

I think it’s already in the parks and at Disney Springs. There have been a few people offering to do pick-ups. I would imagine that it will restock on ShopDisney as well.
On a slightly related note, if anyone is going to Disney World soon, or lives around the area, the Disney Character Warehouses are having nice sale on the Yoda and Plo Koon Legacy lightsabers. And if you have an annual pass, you get another 20% off through this month. I ended up paying something around $40-ish for the Plo Koon lightsaber and around $60-ish for the Yoda saber.

I tried to do the character warehouse once and I wasn’t able to find a parking spot. It was aweful.

Got mine today. I really like it. Have not had a chance to put it side by side with my black series.
When these were first advertised, some noted the side seams. These are actually flex fit points that allow for better fit on the head without habit to make the helmet larger in scale.

Yeah, parking can be crazy. It’s almost always busy around those malls, even during the week, and I’ve had to drive around a few times before finally finding a place to park. There’s also paid parking that usually has room, but I’ve never used it.
There’s also two locations, so if one is packed you could always try the other. They’re about 20 minutes from each other. But the Vineland DCW is larger than the other one.

I agree. The holes do look a bit better than the black series, but they’re still noticeable. My only guess as to why they kept them on the forehead is that putting the speakers in the mouth holes could create feedback with the mic since they’d be so close together. Not an expert though, so I could be wrong.

For me, it not an issue because to tell you truth, I didn’t really notice it till you said something. It just didn’t draw my eye as a distraction. I know it’s a matter of perception and for some it might be right there in your face.
One thing I really like about this helmet is the fit. The side seam flex points might be a turn off for some but it has provided one of the best fits I have felt in these type of helmets. It really feels secure and fitted without the need to feel like you have to wedge yourself agains the padding. I also don’t feel like my head is a clacker in a bell that I feel from some other helmets.

If anyone has any links to where this is in stock, I’d much appreciate it. I’m not a sequel fan but my friend is and his birthday is coming up, actually the day before mine and since Black Series rereleases everything except Kylo, there hasn’t been a chance to get one at a decent price. This looks like a huge improvement over BS also. I’m keeping an eye out.
