My son is seven this coming Wednesday (April 1), and he is a huge fan of Warhammer 40K, and of the Imperium. I currently collect Dark Angels and Grey Knights, and my son has become obsessed with all things Imperial. For his birthday I had hoped to get a Space Marine to show up, but timing and location prohibited that. I spoke with a 40K costumer and she presented a great alternative, video messages from across the Imperium. She put the word out (and possibly even here) and messages have started rolling in.
What I am asking of this great community is is you have time, suit up, and wish my son a Happy Birthday. I do not care is you are a Space Marine, Adepta Sororita, Imperial Guard/Astra Militarum, Inquistitor, what ever, as long as you are part of the Imperium. Heck, even a few Xenos might make it fun.
I know I am asking a lot, and on very short notice. I am trying to make up for last years birthday. Last year, we all just moved to England from the US, and when his birthday rolled around, we didn't even have our home goods yet. Second, add in the fact that he had no friends, and it made for kind of a depressing birthday. This year I am trying to go big. Being 7, he actually believes the God Emperor exists, and that Space Marines are out there saving the day along with the rest of the Imperial forces. OK, dad has gone a little over zealous teaching him about 40K. I had hope to finish a Grey Knight costume for him by Halloween as I am a costumer as well.
So, in short, I have created a sharable folder on drop box, and if you find the time to suit up and record a short happy birthday Alex video (in character would be amazing) I would be greatly appreciated. Thank you all in advance.
