Bioshock: Who Is Atlas? posters - NEW image P. 2

If you're not averse to people having it, you could just put it up in the Free Paper Prop forum. ;)

I'm afraid I am averse to people having it, since I've already had an issue where someone on another forum found the low-res sample I posted earlier in the thread and made posters of it. Kerr Avon seemed like a trustworthy individual, but I'm not going to spread it around any further. Instead, I'm going to tweak it a little more and put up a junkyard thread when I'm ready!

Well, that's definitely not a compliment, but it is your choice to make.

Nothing against you and the others, specifically - I just don't want more people having it. If you had been the first one to ask, I would have shared just as willingly. Now, with a larger volume of people looking for it...the situation just has me wary is all.

I think it looks pretty great as is, but I certainly understand you wanting to tweak it. Guys if you want one of these just keep an eye out for the finished product, if it's good now, it should be really sweet when it's done!

Honestly, I understand your concern. If paper props people posted weren't perniciously pilfered for profit (hard to stop, once you get going), there would still be a "Paper props" thread on a non-member forum instead of the paper props subsection.

As I said, it is your choice. I wish you luck with your project.

Well, that would be me(Atlas, I mean.)
Gotta print that...Good thing that the art school I attend to has an inkjet.

That came out perfect. Easily one of my favorite art pieces in the first game, sad I didn't spot at least one in BS2.

26"x37" might be a tad overkill for me, but if there were smaller prints I'd be all over it. Patattack, if you ever revisit this project, color me interested.

There are some in BS2! I forget where exactly, but I was as giddy as a schoolgirl when I found one. It was later in the game, not sure exactly where.

As for the print, I printed it that large for it to be able to fit in a frame large enough to cover my fuse boxes in the hallway. The PNG file that Pat has can be printed at any sizing really.

I want to bring this project to a close soon, but I still can't find a satisfactory way to emulate that orange mist around Atlas' head. I also want to do some differentiation between the solid black lines and the parts that are more "shaded" in the original. But I'm workin' on it!

Oh you're being too much of a perfectionist. It looks GREAT! I just hung it in my hallway, covering up a fuse box to pretty up the space!

Aw shucks, thanks! I have to say, it looks much nicer as a poster than it does on my computer...maybe the lack of pixels blurs out the imperfections. :lol

But hey, I did a little work on it this weekend, and I think I've got something nice going on. I've attached the original in-game poster, my first attempt (the one Kerr Avon printed), and the one I've been working on. You will notice (a) more-integrated orange halo, (b) more-defined shadows, and (c) more water damage.

What do you think? Is it an improvement? I believe it is.

This really does look incredible, you've done an outstanding job on it!
Now, would you kindly start an interest thread in the Junkyard.

I'd love one of these in my office!

Thanks for the kind words, everybody! Glad you like it. :)

I've come up with what may be a final, printable version that I'm happy with. Notice that there is now some water damage on Atlas himself, as well as the text, so it doesn't look like a pristine image on destroyed paper. I quite like the effect, myself...
