Bioshock plasmid(need help)

Hi everyone im new to this whole prop making thing and i had a little question i need answered. So i'm a pretty huge gamer and I'm also a cosplayer. One of my favorite games ever is The original Bioshock by Irrational games. So I wanted to do a Jack Ryan Cosplay.Im going to go with the sweater(not the vest),have a wrench, and have a plasmid hand.My favorite plasmid in the game is Insect swarm.I'm pretty sure i know how to make the hives But i'm not sure about the bees.My plan was to go outside and capture about 5 or 6 bees.
Oh Boy am I going to hate myself in the morning for this...and then I'm going to euthanize the bees with vinegar and baking soda(it doesn't cause them any pain they just fall unconcious and suffocate in their sleep)I hate to kill the bees but i need them for the costume.and then coat them in polyeurethane-(will this damage the bees and will it preserve them from rotting?) and super glue them to the hives.
I also want to know is there a method of suspending the bees above my hand without actually seeing it.Thanks for any input!

I'll post pictures below.

I dont know, you shouldnt use real Bees for this.
Killing something, only to make it Part of a Costume is...i dont know, i didnt like the Idea.
Having dead Animals glued to your Hand is also gross. ^^

I think sometink like this will do it:
Tim the Honey Bee 1 Inch (12 pc) - Floraltrims.com

Cut the metal wire and replace it with a plastic wire.

I would agree with styxx on this, I'm not an animal lover, but it seems a bit... morbid. Also, you're going to freak out a lot of people at cons if you tell them it's real bees :p I saw the glove hand, it's looking REALLY GOOD. So good luck, I'll be watching this thread :p

Thanks for the link Styxx ill probably go with plastic bees, and the glove images isn't my own merely a refrence image.

I know that I have no projects under my belt, but I would like to give my suggestion. The insects from the plasmid look more akin to wasps. I too have coincided doing a costume like this, and what I planned was sculpting the bugs over a small, but strong, magnet. Placing a corresponding magnet in a latex appliance that represents the welts from the insects, will allow them to stay firmly attached, but can be removed with no damage to the appliance.
That is just how I would do it.

DocOxide is right, they do look more like wasps.
Now, I should probably say that I have to kill wasps at my house anyway because we get swarmed by them if we don't, so I may be in a different situation then you are.
When it comes down to it, If you don't have to kill the wasps for it, then i would'nt... But, If there is no alternative, then I guess it's just like doing it for a school project. (Hey, I had to kill grasshoppers, crickets, and butterflies for my project.... now that was not cool...........)
