Bilbo Scarf HELP

Ok guys i really need some voices on this. Is it a scarf a ascot or a cravat? I know i started a thread similar but now i'm only concerned about this scarf or whatever it is. Fall in on the way and i really want something like this. I've ordered a cravat and now i'm not sure. Please help.

Thank you sir. And again sorry I don't mean to sound obsessed with this character but I just really enjoy this style of fashion. I'm getting my cravat today in the mail and I couldn't find a blue one like the film, but hopefully it will still work. I plan on not to tie it like a regular tie (which is almost most every youtube video) but more like a scarf. But again thank you for the speedy reply.

well i bought a cravat from gentlemen's emporium and well....ive tried to tie it a few different ways and its not looking like what is wearing i'm not starting to think its a silk scarf that is very thin.
