Do yourself a favor and DON'T check ebay.
Go to the Biker Scout detachment (www.bikerscout.net) and introduce yourself. Send a PM there to Bluecyclone. He is the detachment armorer and has a nifty little file he can send you with all kinds of information about what to buy and where to get it.
- MonCal (MC) is top of the line armor, but he sometimes runs long with production and delivery times due to the amount of requests he gets for his stuff. I have yet to hear anyone who was disappointed in what they get from him however.
- Kropserkel (KS) and Studio Creations (SC) are other options that are quality as well.
The abbreviations are what they use on the BSN boards to avoid using complete names.

just dont go in and go "hey where can I buy armor" its kinda looked down on. So set up your account and do some research check the threads. Like it was said before MC is prob the best and then SC thats the armor I have and I love it.

Yeah, it's a little bit more than going straight to the suppliers presumably as they have to cover eBay's fees.

I have Studio Creations and could not be happier. The kit is great, shipping/turnaround time was fast, and price was low. Jeff is a good dude and saved me once when I was in a bind with my build (from my own doing). If I were to buy again it would be from Studio Creations.
My helmet however came from Kropserkel, which took FOREVER to arrive after many unanswered and worried emails. The ABS has some terrible imperfections too, but it wasn't worth trying to get a refund so I kept it. I got their helmet because it is bigger than Studio Creations and I have a monster sized head.
In the below picture both of us have SC armor. I am on the left with the KS helmet, my buddy on the right has an SC helmet. Both of us are relatively big dudes which is why the armor looks a little small on us. Sorry, I couldn't find the original pic without the words.

Reviving an old thread. I need a quality, accurate Scout Trooper kit. What's the best one out there at the moment?
Nice. That looks great. Sounds like SC armor is the way to go. But what helmet to get? Hmmmmm.
