Awesome, thank You for posting this! On an off chance, does anyone know where I can find loose peacock feathers? Not the long tail feathers mind, but small ones I can use to layer on this headpiece. The craft stores are useless, so I'm wondering what my other options are.

Have you tried a Fly Fishing Shop With fly tying material? Havent tied flies in a while but they may have something or a source.

As a matter of fact,I'm in the process of recreating that head dress right now lol I've spent the past YEAR (off and on) matching,sewing,and beading down to every kinky little detail. I've always loved the movie so i kind of felt obligated to make this costume...i wanted the challenge and my god i got it :wacko lol And oh, by the way you should try looking on eBay for those peacock feathers-I managed to get 50 feathers for 5 dollars:thumbsup so check it out When im done with this headdress i will post plenty of pics

If any of you ladies finish your Gracie Law costumes and are attending Dragon Con for 2010 please let me know. I am the Lo Pan in the picture shown above and would love to pose for pictures with you.

I am not sure how many of the of my friends will be bringing their minion costumes (Changs and Wing Kong) but hopefully a lot of them. I feel so ronery without my army.

They are fairly inexpensive on ebay but you might want to paint them to your desire color.

Aisha, your headdress and makeup are fantastic! thanks for sharing photos of your process. You really created a labor of love. Do you have any pics of your robe too? If you put that much energy into the headdress I'm guessing the robe is spectacular as well.

I love the film and have often though of creating the same Gracie Law costume. The colors and details are just so vibrant in the film. Maybe someday when I have a lot of time, a lot of money for materials, and a lot of money to get measured for the contacts. Or maybe I'll do the much less costly option of a female Jack Burton since he's one of my favorite action anti-heroes.
