Best way to solvent weld ABS??

    What do you guys use to solvent weld ABS? Read that MEK might be the best choice.

    GO to Home Depot and buy ABS cement in the plumbing pipe isle. Its red or blue and cheap! It melts both pieces of ABS and bonds them together fast.

    As Lear60man said the ABS cement from the hardware store works, is easy to find and cheap.

    Another thing that works is weldon #3.
    I used to use it to make light boxes for aquariums attaching the plastic rails to the vac formed ABS boxes.

    Just be in a well-ventilated area when you use the stuff. I learned the hard way not to breathe too deeply when using it.
