I'll do one better and send fabric swatches from both my jackets...
And no, I decided against sending either of my jackets out... I could care less about getting insurance money... there are very few screen-used jackets in existance and I'd rather not take chances with parcels getting lost in the post...
I've posted numerous pictures of my jackets for reference and have offered to make tons of hi-res pics for Indy to use... including the interior construction of one of my jackets behind the lining...
As for the Field Jacket... it's a different beast. Complex pattern - yes. Lot of metal and plastic detailing that is hard to find... peter1701, what happened with the Field Jacket project over on ASAP? I believe someone actually sourced some of the metal clasps and whatnot over there.
There's the orange zipper with te weird ball-shaped pull, the huge off-white collar, phaser pocket, specimen sample pockets with plastic lining/inlays... oh, and there's the Miarecki box/emergency beacon/cigarette case thing as well... lot of junk in that jacket!
I'd basically kill for one, but a truly SA one would cost stupid amounts of cash.
Here it is though - I got this pic from a guy who, for years ago, was fortunate enough to try on the Kirk jacket (you can find a report on the IDIC pages):
I'm very interested in the field jacket rather than the uniform, from the first time I saw TWOK that jacket stuck in my head forever, if I could get my hands on a replica I would go insane!!!

Just got through with some conversations with Brian and Indy -
Brian is sending one heck of a care package (deserves a lot of thanks for looking out for this) and I will be sending a shoulder strip for pattern design and fabric match. This is going to be a good project - one for the stars.

Didn't know if this was the right place or not to post this (if not I apologize for the hijack)-
I have my own Monster Maroon that I had made for me by a professional costume maker and tailor (working together) back in 1995:
This was made using the old Lincoln Enterprises jacket pattern.
Although I've been told it is one of the best replicas out there many times, while I agree it is extremely well made, it has some inaccuracies that go from minor to glaringly wrong. Over the last couple of months I have been upgrading and fixing the jacket to truly be one of the best WOKs out there!
Some of the inaccuracies-
Inaccuate Starfleet Insignia:
I fell into the trap of big rank pin on the shoulder/ small rank on the sleeve:
Security wheel is undersized, and the wrong colour (since no two were exactly alike, I didn't mention the overall shape):
Belt is missing the stitching lines:
(And the big ones...)
Jacket is missing the inner chain:
The belt loop is upsidedown and incorrectly shaped.
The information/links/pics in this thread have been outstanding! I've gotten almost all the upgrades done with just the inner chain and security wheel to go! I'll post new pics when it's all done!
