Best plastic or metal to carve from

I was thinking about making some batarangs or some Wolvie claws from some thick sheets of plastic or metal rather than wood.

I was wondering if anyone has done this with either metal or plastic. My tool of choice is a dremmel to carve these.

What suggestions you guys got ?

Get a sheet of ABS or Styrene (polystyrene) trace your pattern onto it, take a razor knife and score just outside the trace lines, double score for good measure, flex the sheet and it will snap along the scored lines, clean up and bring the edges to the trace line with a hand sanding block or files...

Watch you fingers when scoring, take you time and don't dig deep, it's best to take multiple shallow cuts vs a deep on where the knife will bind...

Where can I get styrene that thick ? Home Depot certainly couldn't carry that
