Best paint for painting a vinyl prop?

I'm looking for the best paint to use when it comes to painting a vinyl prop. You know, the same kind of material that they made those Star Wars statues from in the 90's.

What's the best kind of paint for painting props made from the same material as them?

Thanks!

Acrylic paint is your best bet. Enamels will eat vinyl and some color won't actually dry on a vinyl surface (Or so I've been told could be wrong) I have heard that if you have a good primer you can paint vinyl with enamels but I would just stick with acrylic.
