Best fabric for a matte finish on a zentai suit...?

Hey guys... This is my first real swing at a serious costume and I've never had to buy one of these suits before. I'm doing a Native American version of Captain America. A lot of the pieces, I'm using real deer hide on, but I need a white suit with a flat/matte look to it to wear underneath. The suit will be very visible in parts of the arm and leg. And a shiny suit would really clash with the era Im shooting for and the other materials being used.

I read a little bit here and there saying that modal has a flat look to it. But I also read a TONNNNN of reviews that said many people are allergic to it. There is nothing I know of that I'm allergic to, but still that concerns me. So without knowing WTH I'm talking about, I'm going to make a blind assumption that the next best thing is cotton Lycra? Or am I totally off the mark?

Any guidance would be greatly appreciated!

Hm. I suppose you could use a double layer of plain jersey, it comes in all sorts of shades and the ones with a higher cotton content have a great matte look. The double layer would only be to take some of the stretch out, a thicker one would only need one layer.
Honestly I'd suggest just going to your favourite fabric shop and looking around! Even if you find the right fabric in the wrong colour you can always make a note of the type and either ring around or find it online. Always best to see the fabric up close and personal so you can test if it's opaque when stretched, how much actual stretch it has and the weight and breathability of the fabric.
