This my second serious cosplay costume, and my first posted in RPF. I decided to do Thor Frog aka Throg from the Pet Avengers becuase I thought it be really fun and original. Plus I have never seen any one really do it too well.

I knew that frog head would make or break the costume so I am most proud of that. I took a motorcycle helmet and hot glued the sheild slightly open and used insulation spray foam to carve the shape of the head.

The final helmet is foam, paper mache (to make smooth), spray paint base, acrylic paint detail, and glossy coat sealer.
I used a cut up toy helmet and cut styrene for the thor helmet.

It was very heavy and there were easier, lighter ways to create it but I was very happy with the end product.

For the armor/suit, I took ideas from previous cosplayers and adjusted the size and details to my liking.
I redesigned the suit and printed full size to use as template. The base is a athletic shirt with cut craft foam and Plati-Dip on top to give the leathy look. Same for the belt and cuffs. I added cut PVC and craft studs to finish the details.

Unfortunately, since costuming is expensive and time is short, the rest of the costume is store bought. Hammer, rain boots, morph green suit, and flipped over superman cape.

I've learned a lot, especially off RPF, on making costume. So I was very excited and nervous on sharing this but overall I like it. Plus walking around my local con was a blast!
