Bengrim's Darth Vader reveal project

Hi everyone
Merry Christmas
Seasons greetings
Or whatever you all celebrate

ive had a very busy and strange year, as most of you have had also

I’ve now got 3 weeks R and R as I work for myself I’ve had to give myself a rest as I’m exhausted
So where better?
in front of my laptop and in the workshop.
Going to try and finish up some unfinished 3D prints and play a little on the Vader reveal
Drawn up and printed some Vader bits in resin for scale before I give them to my buddy for him to turn on the lathe, still WIP but I’m sure they will turn out ok in the end View attachment 1380226
The tubes in the foam look ok but the foam is not the most accurate I have, when I find the more accurate foam head piece ( in a box somewhere) I will take another picture

The wheels in the LKM connectors are to big and I have re drawn them
My son printed them and I still have to pick them up and place them for sizing, but these should look better
I will give these pieces a quick coat of silver just to see the overall look

Thought I would do a little printing of the collar wheels and V piece.
can’t get the wheels machined at the moment my buddy is in lockdown and keeping me away

I still think the V piece needs a little more work
Got the the helmet down tonight, dusted it down and got busy with adding filler for the dome around the back, no pics of the filler just the front
I also got the ears out I hand made, I can’t remember which ones I liked now it’s been that long

Ah, making some good progress i see! Looking great!

I’ve got a bit of a gap in my 3D printing jobs and also waiting for paint to dry, so I Bit the bullet tonight and started back on my Vader reveal, I’m going to try and fit more Vader work in between the other projects I’ve got on the go
So this is probably the first of many adjustments I might do to the crown before I cut off the lower jaw View attachment 1049222
If you have any advice on that, I'd be so thankful...I stare at mine dreading cutting into it. LOL

Been busy on the computer as my buddy with the lathe isn’t opening his doors as he’s under the weather ( not the Covid)
So I’ve decided to revisit the top crown discs
These will be resin printed for starters

these shouldn’t take to long to print off

The more I look at them the more I want to do a couple of little alterations
I Also did some more in a different resin before I decided to do more alterations on them, they do look good but just not good enough, but I gave them a quick primer anyway
