Good choice, great idea, I’m also going to have a go at sculpting in the new yearI still don't have the money for anything quite yet but I've been trying to get into sculpting a bit so that it may be able to help with my project! So as you see i am trying to gain some skill before I plunge into this big project

Yeah! I am also trying to get better at art so I can try to draw up some designs for parts i need to make!
Still looking for the item it came off, but will have some very very very accurate pieces photo etched in the new year, just working with another member ATM to get these 100% accurate to the found piece.

Hi guys....been a while but getting back engaged in my old hobby (kids are more or less on autopilot now sans my car is now an uber!). The crown part has been as illusive as any other on the mask, especially considering it seems to be a 'simple' part. Anyway, I would agree at first glance that the piece would appear to be some sort of small drain/sink hole cover although I have researched this off and on several times over the years (as I'm sure many of you have) and have yet to find anything remotely close with regard to size, layout, and construction. So, I wouldn't necessarily focus all research attention there.
Anyway, Ben, sorry if this has already been mentioned but I am pretty certain the top disc is not aluminum and is stainless steel. The finish never seems to oxidize and it does not appear to be anodized, so I am basing my supposition on this. Makes the costs go up to be sure vs aluminum due to material and machining, but there you go.
Not sure about material for the bottom disc but it does appear to be aluminum. Also, for the hole tapping on the bottom disc.....you would need to have the machinist make the OD larger, drill/tap the holes, and then have them machine off the edge to the correct OD to get the holes right. Are you having these waterjet or laser cut?
Lastly, I found a set of the correct dynodes for this project and am considering letting them go. If anyone needs a set and is interested, send me a PM.

I’ve got a 3D printer and I’ve been busy practicing and learning.
Primarily I got it for printing some props and helmets but the scope of this thing is phenomenal, BUT there’s a hell of a lot of things to learn and I’m going to enjoy every second of it, I’m hopeful that I will be able to draw some things up that I can print and cast, mainly for the hard to find parts for the reveal.
I’ve been trying out some new resin (F32) it’s a little more flexible than the other stuff I have and maybe these LKM pieces might stay in one piece after I’ve cast them

Vintage AM/FM aerial connectors from the back of old radios/stereos used on the reveal collar

I’m using F32 polyurethane
I’ve bent it ever so slightly as if it was going on the collar and it snapped

You don´t need flexible resin.You can also put normal resin in hot water and bend it.That works fine on the collar.Did that on my mask.
The flexible resin I had was also not liquid enough to cast really finde details.
