Bengrim's Darth Vader reveal project

A little update on things !!!
Been very busy with lots of other things 3D printing, working and real life stuff

but I’ve been tinkering with fusion 360 and redesigned the neck collar V piece to be resin printed as I think it will give me better details, the first piece I designed and 3d printed I made a resin copy, rubbed it into shape for resin casting but the castings always had bubbles and I’m not set up for pressure injection

so I bought photon s resin printer for many other little things to be printed so I thought I would start back on this

I tried to upload a video but it won’t let me up load from my I phone
So screenshots will have to do

the resin printed ones will be cleaner crisper and less clean up than these but I only printed them for size as I’m impatient

I’ve also got my little lathe up and running again (ish ) and I might have a little go at the wheels for the collar !! But my lathe is very temperamental so I’m not holding out much hope on these getting done, I can only try

Fantastic!

Loving this. This also reminds me I have your internal rubber bits. I’ve made some but not loads as they are so time consuming. I need to make a multi mould. You have to be quite precise with pouring into these little moulds as rubber isn’t easy to clean up once it’s set. Especially on such thin pieces.
