Beginner's Grail Diary (Printable Pages + Discussion)

Did some work in Photoshop over the weekend and created what I hope is an accurate reproduction of the hero diary Camel Pack. Be good to know your thoughts?

It looks awesome, if the intention is to look like an official camel pack, so it looks perfect, but if the intention is to be movie (real journal) accurate, so according to Holt the lateral addition must be white instead cream, isn’t?

It appears that way in Holts recreation but I am yet to see an actual clear picture of the prop to confirm. This picture is from the Lucasfilm archives and I cant make it out. Does anyone have a better source image??

or you can make two versions one all cream and one white and keep them both, are you planning making a hero prop grail diary or sharing your camel versions?

I am making a Hero prop based on A and B props but I want accuracy as best as I can get for each page. Base diary is complete still working on the inserts.
Happy to share the camel pack once I have refined it :) Still need better source photos or material.

Thanks, so there is no larger resolution, the modified one is overscaled?
In that case, sadly already used the file for explanation picture, shame no better version is available...

No larger resolution, I modified the picture that was taken from this forum.h41.jpeg

So I did some more work on the Camel pack last night in an effort to get it more accurate to the original prop.
I think I'm close but there is always the little details that can be missed.

I have changed the colour balance and included the white boxes behind the vertical text. All this to make it as close to the Lucasfilm archive picture I have on file.
Bear in mind this is a test "clean" print with no weathering. that will come later.

beautiful, but in the original the bottom looks a lighter blue, like a sky blue, isn’t?

Yes it could be???? Its always hard to tell the exact colours because the photos taken are washed out looking, almost over exposed which would show the colours as lighter than they are. I'll have another look at it tonight.
This is why we need more source pictures!

Did some more work on the Camel pack last night and I can now adjust the blue section colour to whatevershade I need it to be.

Its a lot closer to the original. Next stage is to age it and weather it. I'm going to try to add aging within Photoshop so that I have consistancy when I print it out.
