I used to love this show as a kid... I think about a year or two ago I caught it on TV and felt like I was seeing them through my parent's eyes when I was a kid. Just plain stupid. I couldn't understand how I liked it so much as a kid.

Somehow, I can't see Mike Judge as capturing the childishness and stupidity of the original. I mean, how can go from King of the Hill back to Beavis and Butthead?

Oh it was definitely dumb but it was also a bit of a social commentary as you see kids like them all the time in real life. Half the morons I went to school with could have been them. Plus its about time MTV stopped being a reality show channel. I'm not giving up my VH1 Classic though lol

US Networks are under heavy heavy fire from advertisers / sponsor's to provide more 'scripted content'. That is an industry way of saying nobody is watching reality shows any more. It's a good thing. These are the people the Networks are scared off - so it will happen.
