BB/TDK Scarecrow mask

Hey,

I think I saw a thread a while ago inquiring about this, but I haven't been able to find it.

Anyone interested in having a go at reproducing a screen accurate Scarecrow mask from Batman Begins/The Dark Knight. It has a lot of subtle details that make producing an accurate replica kind of a challenge. Thoughts?

I was thinking about this myself - I just need to find an easy place to get burlap...

hmm, you could probably make one of the masks from the movie the orphanage too. Think it's the same stuff.

does anyone know what kind of lining was used in the screen-used version (I'm sure there's SOMETHING inside)... A burlap mask with nothing inside definitely can't be comfortable to wear... :confused

You can get burlap at JoAnns for $3 a yard in a variety of colors.

It looks like there is some sort of mesh lining inside the mask.

Oh yeah, you gotta line the burlap with something. Black satin would be good.

At work, we have a screen used scarecrow mask from the movie Return to OZ ( I think) which is burlap lined with soft latex. Strange but very comfortable.

Sometime this week, got to get some materials tomorrow or so. I'm wanting to display one next to my Joker mask to get a sort of rogues gallery.

Thanks
Tyler
