battlestar galactica season 1 pistol question

what was the base model of the revolver used? i dont really watch the show, but ive had someone ask me if i could find out for them.
i found a few threads for the automatic from seasons 2 and later, but nothing for the season 1 pistol

any help?

my two cents worth.:rolleyes
i used a Colt 357 Blank pistol in mine as did others but the trigger guard is too round.
i put my wifes real Taurus 357 revolver in my Matsuo shells and it looked dead on, gun fit right also.:thumbsup
Taurus revolvers are copies of Smith and Wessons.
