Wondering if anyone ever built this kit. I just found a picture of mine when I was young on christmas morning. I remember building it like all kids do and then destroying it. Loved that kit...Want to get it again one of these days

WOW,

Never knew there was a space station kit. I only knew of Center Neptune.

In the original Japan run, the Phoenix was NOT a space bound vehicle. the
USA re-edited the show and added the space travel scenes.

I wish someone would release a nice LARGE decent version of the Phoenix.
That was always a favorite of mine growing up.

Used to watch that show all the time didnt remember them going into space. They just had the robot there forget his name. I always liked the missile launching sequence, had a cool look about it.

The phoenix in the first pic is from the second Gatchaman series, Gatchaman II. The English version was Saban's Eagle Riders, which I never saw, alas.

I have that in the "to build Pile" :) I'm working on a pattern for the Phoenix from the OVA Gatchaman, which is beautiful...

I never saw this model before. Interesting. Not from anything in the show--probably repurposed molds. Was there a parts tree with the show vehicles, as shown in the art?

7 Zark 7, was added to the American version to make it more kid friendly.

They cut a lot of voilence out of the series and replaced it with the robots
(Zark and 1 Rover 1) and the weird disco lounge, full of space burgers for T
iny and the ping pon table, drum set and such for the others.

I dont think all of the Japan episodes were converted either. Zoltar
was a transvestite in the japan version. I don't think he was expained
in our version. Jason was also killed off in the Japan finale.

I do remember them revealing Zoltar in one of the last episodes but they left you with the idea that Zoltar was a woman.

I remember when i built it as a kid it was very small . I love it. I would like to have 1/6 th scale models of all the ships.

and of course a R2D2 sized 7 Zark 7 would be awesome too
