I started working on converting a Hasbro battle droid blaster. On thingiverse there are files to make it look more accurate. There is a longer barrel tip, filler pieces for the vents, and an extended power cell.

All the parts fit the blaster perfect. The barrel tip can be screwed on like the original. I chose to just glue it on. I also glued in the vent fillers to keep them from rattling.
To fill in the holes in front of the trigger guard I traced an old credit card. It got cut a little big and super glued on. Then I sanded it down flush.
